Fenton House Chair

The Fenton House chair was a commission we made for a Traces London installation. The exhibition involved filling historical homes with modern pieces, and PGV was requested to create a chair to sit at the desk of Philip Fenton – a previous owner, after which the house was named. Fenton House is a National Trust property situated in the middle of Hampstead and former home to a Quaker merchant. In order to emulate the idyllic grounds of the property, the chair features hand-painted and embroidered floral motifs, sewn onto a teal chenille backdrop. The front of the chair is upholstered from this striking Angel&Boho fabric, complimenting the detailing on the sides of the armchair. A perfect statement piece.
