Easter in Spain: researching potential pieces of furniture. We came across some fabulous second hand furniture warehouses in the mountains near Girona. Amazing collections of weird and wonderful pieces. We had a lot of fun rummaging around warehouses, chatting to the locals and of course sampling some of the best calamari ever!  Then after a very long day we dipped our feet in the warm delights of the Med .

We found some amazing furniture but unfortunately a lot of it (wooden) riddled with wood-worm and a lot of pieces either irreparable or a hell of a lot of work to restore. But the trip was interesting and certainly food for thought. Some of the iron pieces we found were pretty incredible, huge wrought iron gates, marble tables and chairs, old mills and stone grinding machinery. Unfortunately way too much excess baggage costs to bring any of it back!
