The magazine associated with the Worshipful Company of Woolmen kindly wrote a lovely article about Polly Granville. Using the fantastic moniker given to me by Homes and Gardens before of “seating couturier”, we chatted about the upholstery process. We talked about how I always try and keep my furniture as environmentally friendly as possible, using horsehair for example and crucially pure wool. I find myself turing again and again to wool felt , it is such a luxurious and tactile fabric, and who doesn’t want to curl up in a soft and warm chair? I was invited to one of their dinners and met a incredibly well informed and varied group of people associated with the wool industry.
